Homepage V2

The Home V2 template gives you full control over the layout of your home page. Instead of a fixed structure, the page is built from sections that you can add, remove, and reorder to match your needs — no code changes required.

Getting started

  1. In the WordPress admin, go to Pages and open the page you want to use as your home page (or create a new one).
  2. In the Page Attributes panel on the right, set the Template to Home V2.
  3. A new Sections panel will appear below the editor. Click Add Section to start building your page.

How it works

Each section is an independent block of content. You choose which sections to include, configure their settings, and arrange them in any order by dragging them up or down.

When the page loads on the front end, the sections render top-to-bottom in the exact order you set in the admin.

Adding a section

Click the Add Section button at the bottom of the Sections panel. A list of all available section types appears — pick the one you need and its configuration fields will open inline.

Reordering sections

Grab the drag handle on any section and move it to a new position. Save the page and the front end will reflect the updated order.

Removing a section

Click the minus (−) button on the section header to remove it. The section and its content are deleted when you save the page.

Decorator options

Several sections support optional decorators — small illustrative elements (scooter, helmet, gloves) that add visual flair. Each decorator has its own toggle, so you can enable or disable them independently per section.

Migrating from a legacy homepage template

If your page currently uses one of the older templates (Home, Home Alternative, or Home Custom HTML), you will see a yellow deprecation banner at the top of the edit screen.

  1. Click Migrate to Home V2 in the banner.
  2. Review the migration preview — it shows which content will be carried over and highlights any empty fields.
  3. Check Keep old field data if you want the original values preserved in the database as a safety net.
  4. Click Start Migration.

Once migration completes, the page template is automatically switched to Home V2 and all your existing content is mapped into the new sections. The front-end appearance should remain identical.

tip

You can always verify the result by comparing the live page before and after migration. The old field data is retained in the database when the "Keep old field data" option is selected, so nothing is lost.
